Understanding the Challenge
Prairie's Shopify store was working against the brand instead of for it. The technical foundation was fragile, with domain and email issues putting customer communication at risk, and the shopping experience itself didn't reflect the level of curation Prairie is known for. Customers browsing the site couldn't easily find what they were looking for, and the storytelling that makes Prairie stand out simply wasn't there.
Adding to the disconnect, Prairie's Squarespace site (home to their interior design services) felt like an entirely separate business from the Shopify store. Two strong offerings were living in two different worlds, with no clear thread tying them together.

Our Approach
We treated this as a full brand unification project, not just a technical cleanup. On the backend, we rebuilt the foundation so the store could run reliably: proper domain setup, secure email delivery, and a shopping experience built around how Prairie's customers actually browse and buy.
From there, we focused on storytelling. The homepage was rebuilt to lead with brand first and product second, giving Prairie the same warmth and intentionality in their digital space as they bring to their in-person styling work. We also rethought how the catalog itself was organized, defining a new category structure and reorganizing the full product line around it, then building a mega menu that lets customers browse the way they actually shop. Every page, from navigation to checkout, was designed to feel like part of one considered experience rather than a collection of disconnected parts.
We also built the infrastructure for Prairie to keep customers engaged long after they leave the site, with automated email flows and a subscriber capture strategy designed to turn one-time browsers into repeat customers. On the Squarespace side, we refreshed the brand presence and gave visitors a clear, natural path between shopping the collection and booking design services.
Our Solution
Prairie now has a digital presence that matches the caliber of their brand. The Shopify store feels intentional and easy to shop, with a homepage that tells Prairie's story instead of just listing products, and systems running quietly in the background to keep customers coming back. The Squarespace site no longer feels like a separate destination. It's part of the same cohesive experience, giving customers one clear path between shopping and styling services.
The result is a foundation built for growth: one brand, working seamlessly across two platforms, ready to scale with Prairie as the business does.
